Read about the failure of the chicken pox vaccine at my vaccine awareness blog.

Couldn't figure out how to make a comment over there (wasn't taking my password).
I was never as informed as I might/should have been when the kids were little with vaccines. I would hear frightening things about what would happen if the kids received shots AND if they didn't. I couldn't even tell you what shots they had - and when Maxwell started having checkups with his eye, they asked...I don't even know what doctor we saw when they were little. We found out through this that the current doctor (whom we've had since he was in 4th grade, he's 15 now) doesn't have a record of anything.

I do remember not being afraid of Chicken Pox, however, perhaps because I had it myself as a child. I actually have very fond memories of my kids getting Chicken Pox...is that weird? When one caught it, I piled them all in the same bed so they'd all have it (if you only get it once, and it's better to have as a child, I wasn't going to take the chance it would be worse later). They loved this forced slumber party - and I think they came through it as tighter friends.
